Welcome to Beech and Sycamore Classes. We have lots of exciting learning planned for the Autumn Term and beyond! We are delighted with the way our pupils have transitioned from Year 3 and it's brilliant to see their enthusiasm for new learning shining through.
Our topic over the Autumn Term is The Romans Vs The Celts. We are using this topic as an overarching stimulus for our history, geography and art learning and writing narrative and non-fiction pieces linked to this topic. We will be thinking about the legacy of the roman invasion on Britain and what the Romans did for Britain.
In maths, we will firstly be focussing on place value and then moving into addition and subtraction later in the term. As in year 3, we are continuing to develop our arithmetic skills in daily arithmetic lessons and also through using maths.co.uk. Importantly for Year 4, we will be concentrating on learning our times tables facts up to 12x12 through daily practise and use of TTRockstars.
Snapshots of our learning in action can be seen regularly on our school's social media accounts and our homework is posted on Google Classroom weekly.
