Sandy Hill Nursery serves the town of St Austell and its surrounding communities including Sandy Bottom, Boscoppa, Bethel, Holmbush, Carclaze, Mount Charles, Tregrehan Mills and Poltair area.

We are proud to offer effective school-based, teacher-led provision at Sandy Hill Nursery for 3-4 year olds. School-based provision includes a more structured approach to teaching Phonics, Maths and Topic related knowledge and understanding. Our provision and learning environment is planned for effectively to ensure that the children can experience the best quality pre-school learning in order to promote school readiness. Our nursery staff are dedicated to supporting children to reach their full potential and to become independent learners.

The nursery has its own vegetable and sensory garden, sensory rooms, mud kitchen and even ginea pigs; while extensive use is made of the school's facilities including the hall for sports activities, the early years library and involvement in sports day, school fairs and the carnival.
