After an amazing first term, we are excited to begin the penultimate term of Year 6! This term promises to be full of learning and preparation as we continue to build on the fantastic progress made so far.
Our topic this term will focus on Global Warming, exploring its causes, effects, and what we can do to make a difference. In English, we will continue to develop our skills across a range of writing genres, encouraging creativity and precision in every piece.
In Maths, our focus will be on fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, and algebra, ensuring pupils have a strong foundation as we move closer to SATs. Speaking of SATs, we will begin preparing with helpful strategies and top tips to build confidence for the upcoming papers.
In Science, we will continue our studies on electricity, carrying out investigations and learning how circuits work. In Art, pupils will explore painting techniques, creating vibrant and imaginative pieces inspired by our topic.
Homework will remain weekly and will include Maths, reading comprehension, spellings, and daily reading to support learning at home.
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive term ahead!
