03.07.17 On a mission to transition!

What a fantastic week!
This week we have welcomed the newest members of our school for their transition days. The new cohort of 17/18, which is the biggest it has ever been, have enjoyed three mornings in reception to give them a chance to experience what life will be like at Sandy when they began in September. It has been great to see them settling in nicely already!
This has also meant that the rest of the school has experienced time in their new classes as well. We have all spent three mornings with our new classes and it has been great!
We have all played games, introduced ourselves and taken part in a whole school art activity to celebrate that there is 'only one us' but together we make an amazing school! We look forward to displaying all our hard work in September!
Last week, we also enjoyed our last school trip of the year. It was great at Falmouth Maritime Museum! We really enjoyed boat-building and sailing, exploring the museum and looking for hidden clues and treasure and looking for Oceania and experiencing her magical stories before receiving a special shell to take home with us.
All children behaved impeccably and everyone we met said what amazing and well-behaved children we had with us! We all felt very proud! Well done to all the children that came and also to all of the adults that made such an amazing trip happen!
