10.05.18 Model Monsters!

Wow! What an amazing weekend! We hope you all had a super bank holiday and got the chance to enjoy the lovely weather! Let’s hope it's a sign of things to come!
What a great little week it has been. It was fantastic to have the children all back with a bit more of a spring back in their steps after an extra days rest. This week has seen Year 2 continue their SATs with continued commitment and enthusiasm. They have all worked really hard so far and we know they will continue to do so. Hopefully the reward of our trip to Football Golf with give them something exciting to look forward to for all their efforts.
Year 1 have really enjoyed spending time with the rest of the year 1s in Mrs.Bawdens class as they have worked together in the mornings as a year group. They have worked on their phonics, with a focus on their long vowel sounds and in maths they have begun to work on their times tables by counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and they have even begun to use their counting skills to solve problems.
The afternoons have seen us all back together as a class and therefore have become extra special! We have really enjoyed watching our plants beginning to grow.
We have also had fun using all of the recycled materials that you provided us with to create our junk monsters. Miss.Bingham was so impressed we all earnt ourselves one of her headteacher award stickers and a merit!
