Working our hard-est (9.2.18)

This week in phonics we have been investingating the suffix -est and its different spelling patterns. We matched the root word to those with the suffix -est added to help us.
In Maths we have been learning to divide by sharing. We learned that the first number in a sum is the amount we have to share, the division sign means that we are sharing, and the number after the division sign is how many groups we are sharing by. E.g. 20 ➗ 5 = 20 shared by 5 groups.
This week was internet safety week. We learned a rhyme to help to keep us safe online.
In Dance this week we began our lesson by working on balances using a given number of points. We worked in pairs and threes.
We thought of a three letter word and spelt it out in pairs and threes.
On Friday it was Music Day at Sandy Hill Academy. We listened to music performed by children on the violin and guitars. We also listened to the choir perform. In class we created our own song to a familiar tune, moved to Chinese dragon music and played instruments to represent a dragon with our own graphic score.
