Triangle Maths (24.6.19)
We started the week problem solving in Maths. We were given small triangles with three numbers on them and had to place them inside a large triangle. All of the touching numbers had to total 10. Using our number bonds knowledge we had to reason and problem solve. This problem solving then helped us to calculate the total of three numbers more quickly by looking for bonds to ten within a given sum.
In Art we created African patterns using nature and animal skins as inspiration.
Sharing our books with our parents was great fun. It was lovely to listen to the children proudly discussing their work and sharing their learning with their parents and carers.
The children participated in a multi-skills session run by Plymouth Argyle.
We enjoyed learning a new African song in Music as part of our Africa topic.
