Hilly Billy Hedgehog (22.9.17)

This week in English we learnt a poem about a hedgehog. We looked at the use of rhyme within the poem and created an alternative version using our own rhyming couplets.
On Thursday we thought created a leaf shape poem. We thought about the colour, shape, size, feel, movement and sounds of leaves to create our poems.
In Maths this week we continued to build upon our knowledge and understanding of place value. We used apparatus to show the value of each digit in a two-digit number and learnt about the signs < (less than), > (more than) and = (equal to) and how to use these to make statements about pairs of numbers.
On Friday afternoon we met our Year 3 buddies who we will share our Golden Time with. We enjoyed sharing our reading books with our buddies and are looking forward to meeting up again next Friday.
