Converting Measures - 11.5.18

Year 4 took their measurement learning outside this week. The children have been learning to convert between different units of measure and were faced with the challenge of applying their understanding to real life contexts. During this practical lesson, the children needed to measure how long it took them to complete 25 star jumps and complete a lap of our playground. They then needed to convert these measurements from seconds into minutes and seconds.

The children also measured their height, their pencils and the perimeter if their table. Converting all of these measurements between mm, cm and m. As an extra challenge, the children also needed to calculate how many days old they are!
