25.01.18 The Three Little Pigs
This week the children have been learning about the traditional tale 'The Three Little Pigs'. As part of their learning they created masks of their chosen character (pig or wolf). The children carfelly cut strips of paper into small squares to make they collage. They then coloured the other features of their chosen character, cut them out and stuck them on the face of their pig or wolf.
We also discussed adjectives to describe the wolf's character in the story. The children used these adjectives when writing a ''Wanted Poster' about the wolf.
We have also enjoyed performing the story of The Three Little Pigs' in small groups to the rest of the class, using finger puppets to retell the story. We have been constructing buildings that would be strong enough to keep the Wolf out!!
We also enjoyed feeling different materials and exploring their properties.
