21.12.17 Happy Christmas Everyone!
As the term and year come to a close would like to thank you for an amazing autumn term and 2017. The children have been fantastic but so to have all of their family and friends in supporting them and us every step of the way! We couldn’t do it without you so a huge thank you to you all!
Here’s the final blog of 2017!
An impromptu karaoke session as we uncovered some hidden talent whilst doing our Christmas artwork and listening to Christmas songs!
We managed to capture a few for you to watch!
I just wish we could have captured them all!
Mrs.Hooper held her end of term celebration assembly. It was fantastic to see the children rewarded for such amazing lunchtime behaviour and manners.
In English we wrote about our part in the nativity. It was lovely to read how much the children realised the importance of their part in the story and how much they had enjoyed putting on our fantastic performance!
We also held a special assembly to celebrate those children who completed extra homework. This ranged from just one activity to someone completing all of the different tasks! It was great for the children to show some of the amazing work that they have been up to at home!
In maths we have been working on sequences and patterns. We have created patterns, we have explained patterns and we have continued patterns! We have challenged each other to look at different sequences and to talk about them and to predict different terms of a sequence! A super end to a fantastic term of maths!
We also enjoyed a fantastic interactive nativity assembly with Ken Rudge. A great way to learn more about the importance of the nativity story at Christmas time.
This week, we have also been putting the finishing touches and final embellishment to our amazing puppets ready to take home and enjoy!
We have also gone a little crafty as we worked hard to make some super tactile wreaths! It was a little tricky but great when lots of the children said thank you for teaching them to tie!
