15.11.19 Gruffalo

Look at our wonderful Gruffalo representations!!!
The children enjoyed making Pudsey ears for Children in Need on Friday. We all enjoyed a lovely cake for snack from the cake sale- thank you for all donations given to such a worthy charity.
This week our learning has centered around the story of ‘The Gruffalo’. At the beginning of the week we went on a Gruffalo Hunt. Reception really enjoyed exploring on the school field and sensory garden. After the children had found all of the characters from the story we returned to the warmth of the classroom and enjoyed some nice warm Gruffalo crumble (porridge).
On Friday played a Gruffalo game in PE where we were exploring different ways of travelling, just like the different animals in the Gruffalo story. We also had lots of fun playing Gruffalo games.
During maths this week we have been ordering numbers to 10, playing games with friends using dice and counters. We enjoyed making Gruffalo crumble following the secret recipe! Within phonics we have been reading and writing words and sentences containing; ch, sh, th and ng.
