11.2.19 What a special place!

Today, the sun shone for us as we went off to explore more about our RE topic, Christianity.  We walked into St Austell to visit the Holy Trinty Church.  When we arrived, we were welcomed into the church by one of the leaders.  We played games, sang songs and learnt how and why this church is such a special place.   It was an amazing morning being inside such a special place.  The children also enjoyed looking around the church and reading the stories within the stain glass windows.  Brilliant sketches were made of some of the Saints and crosses.  The children will follow up their learning after half term by making their own clay sculpture of a Celtic cross and will create their own stain glass windows.  So watch this space...
