11.01.18 Money, Money, Money!

This week in Maths we have been learning all about money. We started by looking at all of the coins we have and talking about their shape, colour and size. We realised that the bronze coins were worth less, then the silver coins and the gold coins were worth the most. We also found that when you put the coins in order of value, there is a pattern where the coins are small, big, small, big, etc. We had a go at ordering the coins and then checked them against a coin numberline. We also practised counting different amounts of money with mixed coins.
In PE this week we started our gymnastics topic. We thought about different body parts and how to stretch our bodies. We moved in different ways around the hall and balanced on different body parts.
