09.02.18 Making Music

We continued our Zog learning this week. We read words using our phonic knowledge and linked them to each year that Zog was at school. We then explained why we thought that the word linked well with the event,

e.g. In Year one Zog was proud because he tried and tried to learn to fly and then he was able to do it.
In the Zog story, Zog leaves school in Year 5 to become a doctor but we decided that we wanted to predict what Zog would have learnt in Year 6 if he had stayed at school. Can you guess from our photographs what we thought Zog would learn?
On Tuesday it was Internet Safety day and we learnt all about how to keep safe online. We made keyrings using the alien pictures from the official poster this year and Elsie and Taylor shared their learning in a special assembly.
Today was a whole school music day and we had a lovely day developing our music learning. In Year 1 we decided to link our music learning to our castles topic. We started by creating our own castles song to the tune of 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,' then we did our own dragon dances and then we composed a piece of music about the parts of a dragon.
