08.12.17 Christmas songs and fun
What a busy week this week has been, we have been learning the story of The Stickman. The children have loved this story and have really questioned the different experiences that the Stickman had to face. They have shared their own feelings and experiences through this story. Their favourite part was when stickman was saved by Father Christmas. The children have enjoyed making rafts to get stickman across the river, choosing the correct colour paint for stickman and his family, creating a stickman out of playdough, riding on santas sleigh and retelling the story at the small world area using sticks we found in the garden when we went on a stickman hunt.
We have also been creating Christmas crafts- the children have loved creating snowmen globes and have painted paper plates with white snowmen on. Once dry they drew their own personal details and selected a hat and scarf. We have also made Xmas tree decorations, Father Xmas cards and Rudolph breakfast cones.
Next week-we are comparing another journey- The Gingerbread Man,
