08.11.19 Bonfire night!
This week Reception have been focusing on their new topic Bonfire Night!
At the start of the week we learnt about the story of Guy Fawkes and why we celebrate Bonfire Night on the 5th of November every year. This inspired us to create some top tips for how to stay safe on Bonfire Night.
Reception came up with some great ideas such as making sure we; stand back from a fireworks display, hold a sparkler at an arms length and, always stay with an adult we know.
Reception then had a go at making some of their own sparklers using lollipop sticks and different materials!
As well as making sparklers, Reception also had a go at making their own personalised rockets during a ‘Funky Fingers’ session this week!
Once again Reception had their weekly visit to the school library! They really enjoyed looking at a variety of fiction and non-fiction books.
