Thank you to all the parents and family who came to see Year 3 perform their Bollywood dance routine on Wednesday. The children have worked very hard learning it and their enthusiasm and effort shone through in their performance.

This was also the case on Thursday when they performed again to the rest of the school as part of India Day.

Well done Year 3!!

We also received some exciting news this week, linked to our Indian work in Literacy.

Year 3 and 4 wrote poems based on Kit Wright's 'The Magic Box.' Our own versions were entitled 'The Indian Box' and were inspired by  the music, clothing, sounds, sights, dance and landscape of India.

We submitted their poems to a National poetry competition and were thrilled this week to receive a letter saying 8 of our children have been successful and will have their poems published!

The book (The Power of Poetry) will be available to purchase from June and will be stocked in libraries across the UK.

Huge congratulations to:

Daniel Rowe Y3

Charlotte Lewis Y4

Robin Fenn Y3

Grace Bawden Y3

Aimee Stanton Y4

Ashley Tinnion Y4
