It will not have escaped your notice, if you are a regular blog reader, that I have not been able to add agreat deal recently. This is primarily because events both tragic and momentous, interspersed freely with tasks, trials, and tribulations, have somewhat taken over. I have missed keeping this section of the website up to date but perhaps now I can get back on track.

Firstly, we have said our farewells to Mr Scott, our Chairman of Governors. I miss him a great deal. He was a valued friend and colleague, I miss his wisdom, his insight, the breadth of his experience, but most of all his sense of humour. Two of our pupils here gave a superb presentation at Tristan's funeral, and in front of 300 people, did him, the school, and themselves justice. A fitting farewell.

Secondly, and here I could have done with Tristan's advice and guidance, we have been offered the chance of becoming an academy, an independent state funded school. We are having a Governor's meeting here today (Thursday 17th June). I will let you know through these pages what decision they come to.
