World Book Day was amazing!!! Everyone looked fantastic and there were so many yummy cakes!!!!

We had lots of creative discussion about characters and favourite stories as well as lots of fun at the Mad Hatters Tea Party!!!

Thankyou all for making it such a fantastic day!

Getting ready for the party!!

Delicious cakes!

The whole gang!

Apologies for this blog being late-I had some technical issues!

We have also been learning about floating and sinking. The children became investigators and had to find out if their predictions were correct! We used lots of adventurous vocabulary such as heavier/lighter, denser, air pockets, materials, surface area.

See if you can guess what will sink/float around your house!

(Check with Mum and Dad first).

Polite reminder:

Swimming forms come back before Easter please.

We are still collecting cardboard tubes.

Thankyou!

Zumba-tastic! We had our first Zumba session this week and loved it!!
It was very tiring but worth the effort and so much fun!
This will be every Tuesday until Easter.

We had a visit from a very special visitor who told us all about Toys from the Past. We learnt about Scrabble, pick up sticks, Happy Family's and China Dolls!
The children behaved excellently and all had planned brilliant questions about Toys from the Past! A big Thankyou to Mrs. Ennis!

Can you tell your grown up how you know if a toy is old or new?
What Toys from the Past do you know about now?
Which toy from the past would you most like to play with?

Thankyou to all Parents/carers who visited our Open Afternoon. It was a great success! The children have been working so hard & are really proud of all they have done so i is great that they get to share this with you!

We will be looking at toys that roll in any way next. If you have any 'Rolly' toys you could bring in to school that would be great.
Please also bring in any cardboard tubes (especially long ones like kitchen roll, poster tubes).

Reminder: World Book Day is on Friday 8th March! Children will be dressing up in any Alice in Wonderland outfit they prefer & can bring a donation of 50p to go owards Comic Relief. There will be cakes & biscuits to buy during the day.
Happy Shrove Tuesday everyone!
We had a lovely day today finding out about Lent and batter ingriedients.
We had even more fun adding our toppings and eating the pancakes.
Lemon and sugar was the clear winner by far!
